The 2027 Environmental Degradation committee invites leading industry experts to discuss the latest environmental degradation protection and mitigation technologies with a global group of industrial and academic leaders.
The committee is looking for content in the following topics for the 2027 program:
Authors who submit an abstract for a paper will be required to submit a technical paper and give an oral presentation in person at the conference. Technical papers and presentations will undergo a review process and may require revised versions.
All papers and presentations require a signed copyright transfer agreement and speaker agreement for the paper to be published in the conference proceedings and to give an oral presentation on site. These forms will be collected from the submitting author during the paper/presentation submittal process.
Authors who submitted an abstract for a paper will be able to submit a technical paper for consideration to be published in a special issue of CORROSION journal. See more information below.

Poster presentation set up on site: July 28, 2027
Authors who submitted an abstract for a paper, presentation only, or poster will be able to submit a technical paper for consideration to be published in a special issue of CORROSION journal.
During the abstract submittal, authors can identify if they would like their abstract to be considered for the special collection.
Submitted articles will undergo a new peer review, separate from the review that took place for the conference. This will occur via CORROSION journal’s paper submission portal, ScholarOne, and will involve guest editors who have been recommended by the Environmental Degradation committee.
If applicable, authors are encouraged to make modifications to their conference papers prior to submission. While most of the conference presentations will be in-scope for the journal, there are a few that may need to make a few additions, clearly linking and discussing how the research presented in the conference paper or presentation does or could affect corrosion or stress corrosion cracking susceptibility.
Call for papers close: August 31, 2027
